Dr. Frank Leeds - Assistant Pastor

altFrank Leeds III, Assistant Pastor, has been a member of Oakhurst for over 20 years. He was born and raised in Atlantic City, NJ. He has a B.A. from King's College, a M.Div. from Denver Seminary, a S.T.M and D.Min. from New York Theological Seminary, and was working on his third master's degree in public administration at Farleigh Dickenson University prior to moving to Florida. He has done additional study in Switzerland, at Oakland University in Michigan, the Alfred Alder School for psychological studies in Chicago, and Brooklyn College at the City University of New York. Dr. Leeds was a licensed health care administrator in four states and managed both hospitals and nursing home chains.

For 15 years, Dr. Leeds took a small training center for those with developmental disabilities and turned it into a nationally recognized recycling center that hired both the disabled and the hard to employ. His work was awarded the Audrey Nelson Community Development Award for the most creative project in the United States to use a US Grant for helping a community. When he retired, he joined the staff at Oakhurst to support its pastoral ministry.

He and his wife Ginny have three children and are busy soaking up the joy of their five grandsons.
