WHAT ARE BLESSING BOXES?

Several years ago this church started a program to help fund our street ministry. The idea of it was to really think about all that you are blessed with every day. For example: a wonderful family, food on the table, a roof over your head, a car to drive, a pillow to lay your head on, good health, friends, a church family etc... well you get the picture. These are things that we really take for granted.

Now think about the things that come up every day. Some one helped you out when you were down and out, your child gave you a big hug out of nowhere, you just missed the traffic jam on the way home, your boss recognized your hard work, your husband or wife surprised you by taking you out to dinner, you got some good news etc.... all of these are times when we should recognized Jesus at work in our lives. He loves us so much that He gives us these wonderful blessings all the time, do you recognize Him?

So every time you think of how God has blessed you why not give some back by putting a small amount in your box. You will be surprised at how this adds up. By doing this it really makes you aware of all the good things that we have, everything given to us by God.

Remember that when you have been truly blessed. Put some of that blessing back into your box so that others may benefit also.
