CHURCH WORLD SERVICE Annual "Blanket Sunday" fund drive for blankets and emergency supplies for disaster response worldwide.

CLOTHES TO KIDS Opened in Dunedin in June 2003 to provide suitable school clothing to children in need.

COPA Each $10 provides one month of school, or other assistance for a child in LaHoya or Bombita, Dominican Republic.

GOOD WORKS Rev Charlie and Carol Reed Evangelize the Eastern United States and Canada; preaching, running Bible Schools an visiting Nursing Homes.

INTERFAITH COALITION Multi-denominational group works together to coordinate Meals on Wheels and plan a Seminole Seniors Center. Participates in the Postal food drive to supply local food pantry.

ISKOM(International Street Kids Outreach Ministries) Rescues street children in Brazil and the Ukraine and provides for physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

ISAIAH'S INN This Clearwater facility provides food, clothing, shelter and financial support for individuals and families in crisis.

OPERATION ATTACK At Lakeview Presbyterian Church, this St. Petersburg outreach meets children's needs with gently used clothing, hygiene items, food, and infant supplies.

PRIMERA INGLESIA METHODISTA UNIDA HISPANA This Clearwater church is working to meet the many needs of the local Hispanic immigrant population.

KOSOVO MISSION Supports a learning center, agricultural center, and widows' program in war torn Kosovo.

RCS(Religious Community Services) Sponsor women's and family shelters; The Haven, Grace House and Stepping Stone, and maintains a food pantry and thrift store.

SEAR(Southeast Asian Relief) St. Peterburg based Christian program for immigrant families. We support their Viet-Nam outreach with monthly funds for a nurse in DaNang.

SHADY HILLS UMC Serves impoverished rural Pasco county families. Our Thanksgiving offering funded 200 Christmas food baskets including turkeys. Wrapped Christmas gifts go to children who attend the Christmas service.

STREET MINISTRY Serves evening meals to approx 200 individuals who have no home or place to get a hot meal in St. Petersburg.

Our volunteer chefs cook meals on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Tuesdays and the 4th Wednesday of each month. Along with the meal preparation we have volunteers baking cakes and other deserts.

Our volunteer servers pick up the meals from the Foundry kitchen and take the meals to St. Vincent dePaul's facility in St. Petersburg to serve those individuals.

UMCOR(United Methodist Committee on Relief) A Major effort by the greater United Methodist church to respond to disasters worldwide. Includes One Great Hour of Sharing.

UNITED METHODIST CHILDREN'S HOME Special offerings on "fifth Sundays" in months with five Sundays support this Florida facility.

UNITED METHODIST COOPERATIVE MINISTRIES Runs the Children of the World Preschool and literacy programs throughout the district, and distributes Ditty Bags. Other outreaches include: food pantries, transportation ministries (buss passes) and financial support for crisis.

Your Loose coins in the offering plate and generous donations to the food pantry or "blue box" located outside the Fellowship Hall go to support these missions. Please limit donations to the blue box to gently used children's clothes, towels, infant supplies and hygiene items. During cold weather months, blankets, jackets and sweaters are appreciated.

You may designate a financial gift to any of the above ministries by placing your cash or check (payable to Oakhurst UMC) in an offering envelope and indicating the amount and designated ministry on the outside of the envelope.
