Any child who will be two, three, or four on or before September 1 is eligible to be enrolled. Our school is operated on an interdenominational and non-discriminatory basis.
A health certificate and immunization record and a notarized medical consent form, must be on file before the child may attend school. Please use the HRS form that are available in most Doctor’s offices or at the Pinellas County Health Department. These forms must be signed by your physician. Physical record must be on file with the school no later than 30 days from the child’s start date. Physicals are valid for two years from the date of the physical.
As of January 1, 1992 the Pinellas County License Board requires HIB inoculation and as of July 1, 2001 Varicella immunization is required on the immunization record of your child. If your child has had chicken Pox, a documentation of the disease can replace the Varicellla Immunization.
The Typical Day
A schedule is posted in each classroom of the daily program. Activities include free play, art, circle time and outside playtime. During free play, the children are able to choose an interest center or other activities. Examples of activities include blocks, dramatic play,science center, quiet and reading area, art and manipulative center.
Circle time is usually a favorite time of the day, designed to enrich the child’s learning experience. A typical circle time (group learning ) would focus on the theme for the month and would include stories, songs, and fingerplay. Flannel board stories, puppetry , records and CDs may also be incorporated at this time Circle time is designed to aid all areas of the child’ development readiness skills. |
