Our Church beautification project is alive and well as you can see. The flowers are still blooming and the Jatropha and Crepe Myrtle trees are sprouting leaves and will soon be in full bloom.
We are still taking orders for "engraved gift bricks" for the beautiful brick pathway in front of the church. There should be a lot of June weddings and graduations coming up soon, so why not order a gift brick for those newlyweds or graduates
to mark their special occasions forever at our church or any other special occasion or verse you'd like to see on the pathway. As you can see from the engraved bricks, there are a variety of inscriptions which makes the pathway so interesting and special to all of us.
We are still accepting donations of items to sell at auction/ebay. These can be dropped off at the church office. If in doubt as to what to donate, call one of the team members listed below. Just about anything sells, big or small! (Household items, cars, small/large appliances, garage sale type things, cameras, antiques, radios, printers, purses, art, pottery, collectibles, jewelry, etc.) The money raised from the sales will be used for continued church beautification projects, keeping the landscape up, the irrigation system maintained, etc.
We want to thank all of you for purchasing bricks, donating items to help us raise the funds for this project, and your patience in the length of time it took to finally have it all in place after all the hurdles we had to jump! We could not have done it without all of you and hope you will enjoy the brick pathway and landscaping for a long time to come. Wasn't the flower covered cross at the end of the brick pathway just beautiful on Easter! And the Easter Lilies bloomed just in time for Easter morning and many photo ops!
Order forms can be found in the back of each pew racks (look for the pink folded form), or from the church office. Emma Dobies at 391-2264; Jane Blain at 392-4887; Ray Lau at 885-9714
